We are looking for a highly skilled Metrology Specialist to perform quality inspections on a wide variety of products that we design and develop. The successful candidate will measure and analyze the quality of incoming materials from external suppliers, as well as components and assemblies produced at Anduril HQ. This position involves a mix of incoming quality inspections, internal component support, quality investigations, and root‑cause analysis.
WhatYou’ll Do
- Program and operate Hexagon (Romer) arm and Hexagon CMM using PC‑DMIS to perform quality inspections and validate that parts meet our requirements.
- Support design, build, and validation of holding fixtures for use with the CMM.
- Collaborate closely with the Quality Engineering team to influence product design and development.
- Maintain lab equipment, ensuring calibration, cleanliness, and adherence to best practices.
- Participate in root‑cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Demonstrate a strong ethical focus, attention to detail, and solid problem‑solving skills.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards such as AS9100 and ISO 17025.
- Work with cross‑functional teams to define optimal inspection and reporting strategies.
- Associate’s degree or equivalent technical training (preferred).
- Advanced metrology expertise with 4+ years of experience programming CMMs.
- Proficient use of precision measuring equipment, including micrometers and height gauges.
- Strong analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills to clearly explain inspection results to team members.
- Preferred experience with PC‑DMIS and Polyworks software.
- Acceptable experience with Calypso, MCosmos, or other CMM software.
- Excellent understanding of GD&T per ASME Y14.5.
- Experience building holding fixtures for CMMs.
- Knowledge of AS9100 compliance and sustainment practices.
US Hourly Range: $98,000 – $130,000 USD.
