Boardwalk Investments Group, LLC ("Boardwalk") is a privately held commercial real estate investment company. Headquartered in Costa Mesa, California, the Firm currently owns a commercial real estate portfolio comprised of retail, mixed-use, office and multifamily assets located primarily in Orange, San Diego, and Napa Counties. Since 2012, Boardwalk's investment strategy is to actively acquire, stabilize, and manage real estate located in California.
JOB SUMMARY
Leads leasing strategy and operations across a diverse real estate portfolio, including commercial and residential properties. Drives occupancy, maximizes revenue, and ensures a superior tenant experience while maintaining compliance with lease agreements and company policies.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and execute leasing strategies for commercial and residential properties to optimize occupancy and rental income
Oversee all leasing activities, including tenant acquisition, renewals, and lease negotiations
Manage and mentor leasing teams, providing training, performance management, and professional development
Coordinate marketing efforts to attract prospective tenants, including digital campaigns, property tours, and events
Analyze market trends, rental rates, and competitor activity to inform leasing strategies
Review and approve lease agreements, amendments, and renewals in compliance with company policies and legal requirements
Partner with property management and asset management teams to align leasing goals with overall property performance
Monitor tenant retention and satisfaction, implementing initiatives to enhance tenant experience
Develop and maintain reporting on leasing performance metrics, including occupancy, absorption, concessions, and lease expirations
Collaborate with acquisitions and development teams on new property onboarding and leasing plans
Manage leasing budgets, including commissions, marketing, and operational expenses
Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and corporate policies related to leasing and tenant relations
Resolve escalated tenant issues, disputes, and lease enforcement matters as needed
Identify opportunities to increase revenue and operational efficiency within the leasing function
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Business, Finance, or related field A California Department of Real Estate broker's or salesperson's license7+ years of leasing or real estate management experience, with a mix of commercial and residential portfolios
Strong understanding of commercial and residential leasing practices, lease structures, and regulatory requirements
Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop high-performing teams
Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills
Strong analytical skills with experience using leasing software and property management systems (e.g., Yardi, MRI, Entrata)
Track record of achieving occupancy, revenue, and tenant satisfaction goals
