Host

We’re looking for a customer-focused Host to join our restaurant and bar team. This role is perfect for someone who thrives on creating a welcoming first impression, enjoys engaging with guests, and takes pride in supporting a smooth and enjoyable dining experience.

The Role
  • Greet guests warmly and provide a welcoming, positive first impression
  • Seat guests efficiently, taking into account table rotation, guest needs, and server balance
  • Provide menus and inform guests of current promotions or specials
  • Manage the flow of guests into the dining and bar areas, providing accurate wait times when appropriate
  • Communicate guest needs and requests clearly to servers, bussers, and management to ensure seamless service
  • Operate the POS system for takeout orders or payment processing as needed
  • Anticipate guest needs and assist in creating a smooth, enjoyable experience for every visit
  • Complete opening, side work, and closing duties to ensure restaurant is fully prepared for service
  • Maintain all safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards in accordance with Health Department and restaurant guidelines
Requirements and Skills
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. and must be at least 21 years of age
  • Must have or be able to obtain ABC Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) and California Food Handler Certification
  • Previous restaurant hosting or serving experience preferred
  • Customer-focused mindset with attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate clearly in person and over the telephone
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
  • Friendly, approachable, and professional demeanor
  • Strong organization and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment
  • Clear and effective verbal communication with guests and team members
  • Ability to build rapport and create a welcoming atmosphere for every guest
