Position Summary

* This position is a part-time (20-28 hours per week) or full-time (35-40 hours per week), hourly, non-exempt position.

Responsibilities and Duties

As a Kitchen Team Member, you will join the team that is the hidden secret behind the Chick-fil-A brand. Our Kitchen team works together to serve thousands of guests every day with excellence and care. You will have an opportunity to learn each role within our kitchen: from filleting and breading chicken, preparing fresh produce, packaging our made-to-order products, or baking some of our delicious cookies.

All while upholding the highest standards in food safety and cleanliness. Ultimately as a kitchen team member, you will maintain a laser focus on the food and create a remarkable experience for every guest every time with safe, delicious food.

As a Kitchen Team Member you will be responsible for:

* Food prep, cooking, and assembly of produce, raw, hot and cold breakfast, lunch, and dinner products, catering orders, and box meals

* Maintaining a sparkling clean Kitchen and Back of House

* Receiving truck and maintaining inventory organization

* Following LEAN processes and procedures for quality and inventory control

* Performing food safety and quality practices and measures including the SAFE Daily Critical and daily eRQA

* Collaborating with team members and fulfilling our mission:

Qualifications and Skills

* A qualified candidate must be 18 years of age or older and authorized to work in the U.S.

* A qualified candidate must have the ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds for brief and short distances.

* For part-time positions: consistent weekly availability between Monday-Saturday is preferred and the ability to work at least 20 hours per week is expected for applicants wishing to be considered for part time status.

* For full-time positions: open availability between Monday-Saturday and the ability to work at least 35 hours per week is expected for applicants wishing to be considered for full time status.

* Previous work experience is not required, but it is preferred. You will receive on the job training and development throughout your career with Chick-fil-A Harbor Blvd.

Kitchen Team Member positions will be expected to regularly work four hour, six hour, or eight hour shifts, at various times within the various day parts of: morning (5:30am-2pm), afternoon (11am-7:30pm), or evening (3:30pm-12am), depending on the needs of the business and store performance goals.

A prime candidate will have availability during two, three, or all of these day part times on a regular daily basis and will also have open weekend availability between Thursday - Saturday.

As a Kitchen Team Member you will need to focus on the following areas in your daily performance:

1. Provide Remarkable Service

* Effectively prep, cook, and assemble orders

* Follow standards for proper presentation of orders

* Ensure accuracy of orders

* Communicate effectively with the Front of House team about wait times and when to park cars

* Know when and how to prioritize orders based on the needs of the order pipeline

* Proper food quality and monitoring

* Uphold organizational standards

* Monitor and prevent waste by following proper LEAN procedures

2. Maintain a Sparkling Clean and Safe Environment

* Ensure clean and sanitized food contact surfaces before and after preparing food and at least every 4 hours for ongoing tasks

* Ensure a clean and inviting kitchen environment including walls, floors, floorboards, ceiling, hood vents and equipment

* Always be prepared for Internal or Health Department visits by following required food quality and safety process and procedures at all times
