BOH Shift Lead
Country Club is seeking an experienced Back-of-House Shift Lead to support daily kitchen operations and help lead our team during service. This is a hands‑on role for a strong line cook who leads by example, supports the kitchen manager and chef team, and helps maintain consistent quality, efficiency, and standards in a high‑volume environment.
The BOH Shift Lead plays a key role in setting the tone during service—keeping the kitchen organized, supporting teammates, and ensuring food is executed to our standards.
Key Responsibilities- Lead by example during service, preparing and cooking food accurately, efficiently, and safely
- Support daily kitchen operations and assist with supervising BOH staff during assigned shifts
- Help maintain consistency in food quality, presentation, and portioning
- Ensure proper food handling, sanitation, and safety standards are followed at all times
- Assist with station setup, prep organization, restocking, and breakdown
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional kitchen environment
- Communicate effectively with FOH and management to support smooth service
- Step in to assist teammates as needed to keep service running efficiently
- Minimum 3 years of kitchen experience, including previous lead or senior line cook responsibilities
- Possess or obtain the Food Handler certification
- Strong understanding of food safety, sanitation, and kitchen organization
- Ability to remain calm, positive, and solution‑focused during busy service periods
- Comfortable providing direction and support to teammates when needed
- Passion for quality food, premium ingredients, and hospitality
- Professional appearance and reliable work ethic
- Must be 21 years or older
- A dependable team leader who sets the standard through their own work
- Someone who takes pride in consistency, cleanliness, and execution
- A collaborative, respectful presence in the kitchen
- A team player who values culture and accountability
- Bilingual, Spanish‑speaking a plus
