Position Overview
Reporting to the Management team, Sales Associates are professional, enthusiastic, and knowledgeable brand ambassadors inside and outside the store. They promote the company's success in the recreational cannabis landscape by imparting cannabis knowledge, building positive customer relationships, and creating a loyal customer base. This position starts as a part-time role at $19.50/hour + tips.
Responsibilities- Work as a team player and contribute to a positive working environment
- Exceed expectations by working to meet the company's mission: to provide the ultimate one-stop-shop cannabis experience with exceptional customer service and diversified products
- Promote an environment and culture that focuses on positive and healthy interactions aligned with the company's core values
- Advise customers on suitable cannabis products based on their needs, preferences, budgets, and reactions to different strains of cannabis
- Demonstrate an elevated level of cannabis knowledge and curate experiences that go beyond expectations
- Create intentional experiences for customers by building authentic relationships and exceeding expectations through exceptional service
- Drive customer visit goals and increase the number of returning customers; successfully achieve sales goals and business metrics
- Pick & pack orders
- Accurately handle cash transactions by operating the point‑of‑sale system and maintaining a precise register
- Seek opportunities to contribute to and improve business results daily
- Adhere to all company training and operational standards and procedures
- Be knowledgeable about company communication, rollouts, directives, and procedures
- Abide by all company policies and programs
- Adhere to all legislative requirements of cannabis retailers, including federal, state, and DCC laws and regulations
- Other duties may be assigned
- Minimum 21 years of age
- High school diploma
- Hiring preference will be given to candidates with open availability
- Open availability defined as the ability to work all hours required without restrictions, including days, evenings, weekends, overnight shifts, and holidays
- All employees must be able to work two weekend days (Friday to Sunday); management reserves the right to assign different days depending on workforce needs
- Prolonged periods of standing, sitting at a desk, and working on a computer
- Ability to stand for prolonged periods, bend, kneel, squat, and twist
- Partnership with United Food and Commercial Workers International Union (UFCW) to help workers secure better wages, protection, and benefits
