Cashier - South Coast Plaza

Summary

The Cashier provides front-of-house clerical and point-of-sale support in a luxury boutique environment. This role is responsible for accurately processing transactions, assisting the sales team, and ensuring an exceptional final client experience while maintaining compliance and proper record keeping.

• Process sales transactions, payments (cash, credit, other forms), and client verification at the register.
• Handle returns, exchanges, refunds, and tax refund requests per company policy.
• Reconcile daily transactions, prepare cashier reports, and verify cash balances at shift start and end.
• Assist with opening and closing procedures and maintain adequate cash flow in counters.
• Input transaction and client information accurately into systems and prepare invoices.
• Provide prompt, friendly client service including wrapping and packaging at point of sale and answer phone inquiries.

• Minimum 1 year retail experience; luxury retail experience preferred.
• Experience operating cash registers or point-of-sale terminals and strong cash handling skills.
• Good numerical sense, attention to detail, and high integrity in payment handling.
• Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills; proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Ability to handle difficult situations with composure and lift up to 25 lbs.
