About the Role
The Selling and Service Assistant (SSA) provides clerical support for both front and back‑of‑house operations in the Hermès boutique. The SSA processes and ensures the accuracy of all transactions (receptions, CRM, SKUs, monetary payment, client verification) and administers after‑sales services as needed. The role partners with management on POS decisions and performs all other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Responsibilities- Accurately record point‑of‑sale transactions at the register, including processing sales, sending, repairs, and assisting in opening and closing procedures with management.
- Consistently provide high levels of service to clients in line with Hermès standards: prompt and friendly greetings, offering assistance, answering questions, and helping with wrapping and packaging at the point of sale.
- Support the sales team with selling processes: hanging merchandising, returning merchandise to floor, retrieving stock, and physical preparation of the stockroom.
- Organize and prioritize the workstation and selling floor to support sales efforts: keep items (bags, boxes, notecards, ribbon, POS station, etc.) stocked, maintain merchandising standards, and perform necessary filing.
- Assist with stockroom operations: support merchandise flow, replenishment, EAS tagging, ticketing, and physical inventory preparation.
- Support the After Sales area as needed: logging repairs, contacting clients, and maintaining active records.
- Record accurate and detailed CRM files that provide meaningful purchase history and sales analysis.
- Answer phones promptly and exhibit friendly, appropriate customer service.

- Minimum of 1 year of retail experience in a luxury environment preferred.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Experience with POS systems and/or cash handling strongly preferred.
- Ability to multitask and handle detailed work.
- Strong organizational skills and computer proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Ability to handle difficult situations with grace, compassion, and composure.
- Physical ability to lift 0–25 lbs. without assistance.
Hourly range: $24.56 to $27.48, based on job, location, and individual experience.
