Convenience Store Cashier; Part-Time; Costa Mesa, CA

Description

As the Convenience Store Cashier, you’re the face of Wild Water Convenience Store and the first point of contact for every customer. This role assists the day-to-day performance of our small convenience store, including driving sales, keeping the store fully stocked and guest ready. Cahier’s report directly to the Store Manager.

• Deliver a great customer experience: welcome every customer with a positive, friendly attitude, providing top-tier customer service during every interaction, every time.
• Run daily operations:
  Open/close routines, cash handling, daily checklists, and consistent store standards. Operate the POS system accurately to process transactions.
• Stock and organize shelves:
  Restock merchandise (snacks, drinks, cigarettes, automotive items, etc.), rotate products to ensure freshness, face products for neat displays, and check for expired items to remove them.
• Maintain store cleanliness: clean counters, floors, restrooms, windows, coolers, and pumps; empty trash; wipe down surfaces; and keep the overall store tidy and presentable.
• Manage inventory and receive deliveries:
  Check in new shipments, verify quantities, put away stock, monitor low inventory levels, and sometimes help with basic ordering or reporting shortages

• Able to stand/walk for extended periods and perform physical duties (bending, crouching, climbing ladders, working in confined spaces)
• Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Solid understanding of cash handling
• Basic computer/tablet skills and clear verbal/written communication
• Work on the floor—stocking, cleaning, receiving deliveries
• Ability to regularly lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks associated with retail operations
