As a member of the BAPE retail team, you will serve as an ambassador of the BAPE brand and help us keep our commitment to providing exceptional customer service and brand experience at our retail stores.

The primary responsibility of the Assistant Store Manager is to educate and motivate the BAPE team to strive for retail excellence. By taking an active leadership role on the sales floor, the Assistant Store Manager will support the Store Manager in maximizing profitability by ensuring customer service, merchandising, operations, sustainability, and employee engagement are consistently executed in accordance with company standards.

This position will allow you to work closely with our US management and leadership team.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the Store Manager in overseeing daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures.
• Lead, coach, train, and motivate team members to achieve individual and store sales, productivity, and customer service goals.
• Deliver an exceptional customer experience by ensuring company service standards are consistently met and providing coaching and feedback where needed.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships by anticipating customer needs, promoting new product launches, and communicating exclusive product offerings.
• Support the recruitment, interviewing, hiring, onboarding, training, and performance management of store employees.
• Ensure all team members are knowledgeable about company products, brand history, and selling techniques through ongoing training and development.
• Monitor sales performance, analyze key business metrics, and assist in preparing reports to support operational and financial decision-making.
  
  Support the achievement of all financial and operational objectives, including sales targets, loss prevention, inventory accuracy, audits, and reporting requirements.
• Manage inventory levels, oversee stock replenishment, conduct regular stock counts, and maintain inventory integrity.
• Supervise stockroom operations, including shipping, receiving, organization, and adherence to inventory control procedures.
• Maintain visual merchandising standards consistent with company brand guidelines and ensure the store presentation is clean, organized, and visually appealing.
• Communicate merchandise trends, assortment needs, stock levels, and replenishment requirements to the Store Manager and leadership team.
• Handle customer inquiries and resolve concerns professionally to maintain a positive and welcoming shopping environment.
• Support daily store communications and briefings, including sharing sales performance updates and operational priorities with the team.
• Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, health and safety regulations, and operational standards.
