Visible Asset Protection Specialist

Summary

The Asset Protection Visual Security Officer is responsible for deterring theft, protecting merchandise, and maintaining a safe environment for customers and associates at the South Coast Plaza location. This role emphasizes visible patrols, observation, and prompt, professional responses to incidents. The officer works closely with store management and local authorities to support loss prevention efforts.

Responsibilities

• Conduct visible floor patrols and maintain a strong presence to deter theft and misconduct.
• Monitor CCTV, alarm systems, and store entrances for suspicious activity and security breaches.
• Observe and document incidents, complete detailed incident and apprehension reports, and maintain accurate logs.
• Assist with investigations and coordinate with store management and law enforcement as needed.
• Provide customer-facing support while enforcing store policies and safety procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in security, loss prevention, or retail asset protection preferred.
• Strong observational skills, attention to detail, and clear verbal and written communication.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and work variable shifts including nights and weekends.
• Must be able to pass a background check and comply with store security policies.
