Bring your customer service skills and attention to detail to a retail security role in Costa Mesa. Allstate Security is hiring Unarmed Security Officers who take pride in a professional appearance, communicate confidently, and help customers and store employees feel welcome and safe.

• Pay: $22–$23 per hour.
• Full-time and part-time positions available.
• Schedules vary by day, with shifts scheduled within store operating hours of 10:00 AM–9:00 PM.
• Unpaid meal breaks per company policy.

• A customer-facing retail assignment where professionalism and people skills matter.

• Welcome customers as they enter and thank them as they leave, while maintaining a visible security presence.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and store activity to identify safety concerns and suspicious behavior.
• Help deter theft and disruption through attentive observation and professional customer service.
• Report suspicious activity, incidents, and hazards promptly to store management.
• Prepare clear Daily Activity Reports and incident reports.
• Respond to store alarm activations by courteously directing customers to store staff without confrontation or physical contact.
• Work with store staff and follow company policies and client post instructions.

• An active BSIS Guard Card.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• A professional appearance and dependable attendance.
• Reliable transportation and availability for your assigned schedule.
• The ability to stand for extended periods and remain attentive throughout your shift.
• Proficiency with digital communication and technology tools.
• Successful completion of the required background check.

Allstate Security provides the suit and full uniform for this position. The required uniform consists of a black suit, black button-down shirt, black tie, and black dress shoes.

• This is an observe-and-report position. Report concerns to store management and maintain professional boundaries.
• No weapons of any kind are permitted.
• No physical contact with customers or staff.
• Do not detain, accuse, or confront suspected shoplifters.
• Do not chase or follow individuals.

• Check in with the store manager at the start of each shift.
• Remain alert, courteous, and focused. Personal phone use, texting, and other personal activities are not permitted while on duty.
• Coordinate breaks with store management and remain at your post until properly relieved.
• Follow site instructions and communicate concerns promptly.
