(Maintenance)

Job Summary :

Under general supervision, repairs and maintains facility, machinery, and equipment; performs other related duties as assigned.

Reports to :

Maintenance Lead and/or Maintenance Supervisor

• Performs preventive maintenance on facility, machinery, and equipment, including lathes, mills, drills, grinders, saws, dust collectors, blast booths, and pneumatic equipment, and other related duties as assigned.
• Assists “A” and “B” level Maintenance Mechanics and Welders, as needed;
• Operated forklift, scissor lift, and bobcat loader, as needed;
• Regular punctuality, attendance, and absence reporting in conformance with company policies is essential to the successful performance of this position; and
• Fully comply with company rules, policies, procedures, and safety guidelines to ensure safe and effective operations;

Any combination equivalent to, but not limited to, the following:

Considerable experience, training, and/or education in the repair and maintenance of industrial machinery and facility; basic knowledge of working with electricity.

• Considerable knowledge of the methods and techniques used in repairing and maintaining production machinery;
• Ability to clean, lubricate, and protect production equipment;
• Considerable knowledge of tools and materials necessary for repair and maintenance of industrial machinery;
• Ability to operate hand and power tools;
• Ability to safely operate a forklift, scissor lift and bobcat loader;
• Knowledge of lockout/tagout procedures;
• Knowledge of safe work practices and procedures;
• Ability to understand and follow work instructions; and
• Ability to read and interpret maintenance and repair specifications.

• Ability to lift, move, and carry tools and materials weighing up to 25 pounds unassisted;
• Lifting, moving, or carrying tools and materials weighing over 25 pounds requires assistance by a co-worker or lifting equipment;
• Ability to stretch, bend, and reach work areas; and
• Ability to perform essential functions of the job, as defined;
• Reasonable accommodations provided upon request.

• Company certification in the operation of a forklift;
• Safety shoes required; and
• Soft-sole shoes required if/when working on roof.
