Audiovisual Deployment Team Manager – Acuity Intelligent Spaces (AIS)
Job Summary: The Audiovisual Deployment Team Manager leads the Deployment Team in discovery, installation, and commissioning of Acuity collaboration spaces system‑wide. Responsibilities include pre‑flight site surveys, documentation of construction and infrastructure requirements, interfacing with internal and external trades, and managing onsite installation processes with an emphasis on safety and adherence to business standards. The role involves domestic and international travel.
Key Tasks & Responsibilities- Lead day‑to‑day operation of the AV deployment team.
- Interface with internal and external affiliates, trades, and vendors.
- Conduct discovery and document contracting, AV installation, integration with building management systems, and infrastructure needs.
- Provide guidance, analysis, and recommendations for installations.
- Track and analyze operational data, recommending improvements to processes, timelines, and staffing.
- Ensure deployment teams adhere to safety standards.
- Support manager in gathering customer input, conducting site surveys, engaging in related analysis, and coordinating installation activities.
- Lead team in installation of best‑in‑class AV & collaboration room environments.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams for daily tracking, monitoring, and reporting.
- Assist installation hands‑on as needed.
- Manage relationships with internal and external teams to ensure timely delivery of equipment and services.
- Develop solutions for integration of AV systems into BMS systems, providing thought leadership for automation integration.
- BA/BS degree in a technical/engineering discipline or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years experience in a Facilities team and/or General or Specialized Contracting capacity.
- 3+ years experience with Building Management Systems.
- 1+ year experience installing AV equipment.
- Understanding of Distech Controls, Niagara Framework, EC‑Net 4 or similar systems.
- Familiarity with Q‑SYS, cameras, microphones, displays.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, CMMS, Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of HVAC, electrical panels, RTUs, VAVs, lighting controls.
- In‑depth understanding of general and specialized construction methods and practices.
- History of interfacing with building systems and their management.
- Proven cross‑functional collaboration skills.
- Strong verbal, consultative business acumen, and superior written communication.
- Creative thinker, comfortable with ambiguity.
- 1–20% travel
Pay Range: $73,000 to $132,000 (based on experience and location).
