Maintenance Mechanic II

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production and facility equipment
• Respond to equipment issues and support rapid troubleshooting to minimize downtime
• Execute work orders, including documentation, parts tracking, and close-out
• Utilize CMMS and purchasing systems for work coordination and material requisitions
• Follow all safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), hot work permits, and safe equipment operation
• Operate powered industrial equipment (e.g., forklifts) in a safe manner
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Maintain and repair pumps, motors, gearboxes, and rotating equipment, including:
• Pump seal replacement and basic rebuilds (e.g., AOD pumps)
• Motor installation, wiring, and rotation checks
• Bearing installation/removal and lubrication
• Belt and chain inspection, tensioning, and replacement
• Perform basic alignment of pumps and motors
• Conduct routine servicing such as oil changes, filter replacements, and equipment cleaning

Requirements:

• 2+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing or process environment
• Hands-on experience with mechanical equipment repair, industrial piping/plumbing, and basic electrical/facility maintenance
• Welding experience (MIG, TIG, or stick) in an industrial setting
• Experience with pipe fitting and pipe welding (stainless and/or carbon steel)
• Working knowledge of pumps, motors, gearboxes, rotating equipment, and industrial piping systems
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, blueprints, equipment manuals, and preferably P&IDs and basic weld symbols
