OverviewWe are hiring a Field Service Technician to play an essential role in propelling manufacturing processes forward. The successful candidate will install, maintain and troubleshoot advanced robotic welding systems and surrounding automation equipment while collaborating with customers and engineering teams.
What You’ll Do- Operate and maintain a state‑of‑the‑art multi‑robotic welding system, applying knowledge of robotic kinematics and dynamics.
- Load, monitor and inspect welded assemblies with precision, using robotic vision systems and sensors.
- Track inventory of parts and completed assemblies.
- Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot and repair automation equipment and cell components locally and at customer sites.
- Record and analyze data to support engineering‑driven issue resolution.
- Monitor cell performance and guarantee precise part fit‑up.
- Operate mand‑mandated machines integrated into customer manufacturing processes.
- Integrate autonomous welding cells into customer manufacturing environments, implementing communication protocols.
- Service pneumatic and welding systems, robotics and electrical automation devices.
- Learn Forge processes, operating the cell through command prompts and code changes.
- Engage customers to optimize equipment efficiency.
- Collaborate with engineering staff to promptly resolve issues.
- Inspect, clean and replace electrical and mechanical components.
- Adapt quickly to evolving technology and field demands.
- Must be willing to travel 75%+ of the time to customer sites.
- Self‑driven technical background: trade school, associate degree in engineering technology, or equivalent experience.
- Hands‑on experience designing, assembling and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems, preferably in manufacturing.
- Welder experience is desirable; not mandatory.
- English proficiency mandatory;
Spanish optional. - Comfortable learning or using programming languages.
- Detail‑oriented, adept at handling delicate components.
