Definition
Under direct to minimum supervision of the head of the Division, Department, or Program, the non‑academic, non‑classified short‑term support employee will provide services to the department to support and assist regular employees by performing a variety of needed temporary tasks. Non‑academic, non‑classified short‑term employees are at‑will employees, have no entitlement rights to any position in the District, and are not benefits eligible.
Short‑term employment shall not result in the displacement of classified personnel. Short‑term employees may be employed to perform work at irregular events. Employees may not exceed 160 working days within a fiscal year and may not exceed 19 hours per week and may occupy only one primary assignment.
On a temporary basis, provide assistance in tasks supporting theatre/stage productions and related events, i.e., staging, sound, lighting, mechanical rigging and related technical systems. Performs additional related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications- Education and experience:
dependent on specific division, department or program assignment; or any combination of education and experience that provides the required equivalent qualifications.
Some job assignments may require a valid California driver’s license and/or possession of a license and/or certificate of completion from an accredited college or agency relative to the assigned area. Continuing education, training or certification may be required.
