Cloud Solutions Engineer

Siemens Digital Industries Software is a leading provider of solutions for the design, simulation and manufacturing of products across many industries. Formula 1 cars, skyscrapers, ships and space exploration vehicles are conceived and manufactured using our Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software.

This is a US‑Based role.

Engineers on Simcenter STAR‑CCM+ customers need on‑demand super‑computer resources. As a Cloud Solutions Engineer you will transform how our customers run and interact with multi‑physics high‑fidelity simulations by designing, deploying and maintaining scalable cloud services.

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering or a related field (Master’s or equivalent experience a plus).
• About 5 years of professional experience as a software developer, including developing services and deploying infrastructure in AWS using IaC.
• Strong proficiency in Python, object‑oriented programming, software design principles and patterns.
• Hands‑on experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Good understanding of microservices and event‑driven architectures.
• Solid experience with AWS services such as EC2, S3, IAM, SNS, SQS, Lambda, Cloud Front, Cloud Watch, Cloud Formation, API Gateway, Dynamo
  
  DB, EKS.
• Experience with serverless patterns, Step Functions, Event Bridge, high‑availability production services, monitoring, alerting, CI/CD pipelines (Git Lab experience is an advantage).
• Ability to collaborate across multi‑team environments with source control, design reviews and agile methodologies.
• Security‑first mindset throughout the development lifecycle.
• Curiosity, willingness to learn new technologies and develop new skills.
• Nice to have: AWS Associate or Professional certification; experience operating a 24/7 global SaaS environment; expertise in Azure, Google Cloud or managed Kubernetes; background in large‑scale numerical simulation or HPC workloads; job scheduling experience (PBS, Slurm, LSF, Grid Engine) and multi‑model No
