The Mission Software Engineering team builds, deploys, integrates, extends, and scales Anduril's software to deliver mission‑critical capabilities to our customers. As the software engineers closest to Anduril customers and end‑users, Mission Software Engineers solve technical challenges of operational scenarios while owning the end‑to‑end delivery of winning capabilities such as Counter Intrusion, Joint All Domain Command & Control, and Counter‑Unmanned Aircraft Systems.
ABOUTTHE JOB
As a Manager of Product Security Foundations, you will be responsible for leading and managing a security engineering team responsible for delivering reusable, foundational security components for Anduril’s products. The ideal candidate has a background in electrical or software engineering, with a focus on platform security. They will be able to conduct complex security architecture reviews, research and mitigate exploits against hardware and software, and implement critical features in collaboration with other engineering teams to build resiliency into our products.
WHATYOU’LL DO
- Own the development and maturation of the security roadmap for Anduril’s products
- Lead teams within the Product Security org to ensure Anduril products are resilient enough to survive against modern cyber threats
- Collaborate and build solutions with engineering teams to meet and exceed industry‑standard security goals
- Build a strong partnership with Anduril’s engineering teams in order to develop and execute against a well‑aligned roadmap that covers Anduril’s portfolio globally
- Engage with teams to remediate uncovered weaknesses in designs, implementations, integrations, and processes
- Own processes that include both pre‑market and post‑market processes engineering teams leverage throughout the product development lifecycle
- Possesses both strategic vision and technical depth, maintaining active involvement in security architecture and implementation
- Proficient with one or more programming languages (e.g. C/C++, Golang, Rust, Python)
- Regularly builds, tests, and delivers production‑ready systems, especially for embedded and/or Linux systems
- Experience assessing security of firmware, applications, network, IoT, or embedded systems
- Experience developing features for and improving security of firmware, applications, network, or embedded systems
- Familiarity with anti‑tamper and reverse engineering mechanisms
- Experience in platform security engineering and secure SDLC implementation
- Strong and professional communication skills (written and verbal)
- Demonstrated commitment to practical, mission‑enabling security solutions
- Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. TS clearance
- Familiarity with security architectures of embedded, aerospace, or cyber‑physical systems
- Experience building endpoint detection and response solutions
- Experience building factory automation for secure key handling/provisioning
- Experience building, testing, and delivering production‑ready systems, especially for embedded and/or Linux systems
- Experience with programmable logic devices and their development tools
- Knowledge of cyber threat actors, their TTPs, and their implications for weapon and space system operations
- Experience securing complex, AI‑native systems
- Experience conducting incident response in cloud systems and embedded systems
$191,000 — $253,000 USD
The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations. Highly competitive equity grants are included in the majority of full time offers; and are considered part of Anduril's total compensation package.
