Seeking a mid-level Software Development Engineer, with automation, and connected technology experience. We're looking for a talented
* Connected Services Software
** Engineer* to help build and enhance monitoring, testing, and automation solutions that support cutting-edge connected platforms and services. This is an exciting opportunity to work at the intersection of software engineering, automation, data analysis, and system monitoring while collaborating with cross‑functional teams dedicated to delivering high‑quality customer experiences.

• Design, develop, and maintain tools that support system monitoring, validation tracking, and operational reporting.
• Build automated testing frameworks and utilities that improve quality, scalability, and efficiency.
• Monitor platform, service, and system health to proactively identify and resolve potential issues.
• Analyze logs, telemetry, and operational data to troubleshoot technical challenges and drive root cause analysis.
• Partner with Engineering, QA, and Operations teams to improve automation coverage and testing processes.
• Develop dashboards and reporting solutions that provide visibility into system performance and service quality.
• Support validation and readiness activities for critical testing events and product releases.

• 3+ years of software development experience using Java, Python, C#, JavaScript, or similar technologies.
• Experience building automation tools, test frameworks, or monitoring solutions.
• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, QA processes, and defect management.
• Ability to analyze logs, troubleshoot complex technical issues, and identify root causes.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple technical teams.

• Experience with cloud platforms, distributed systems, and server infrastructure.
• Knowledge of networking concepts including TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, and APIs.
• Experience working with REST APIs, databases, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with Linux environments and scripting.
• Experience with observability, monitoring, or telemetry platforms.
• Exposure to connected devices, IoT, telematics, mobility platforms, or similar connected ecosystems.

• Collaborate with highly skilled engineering and quality teams.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Costa Mesa, CA.

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $60.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
