Job Duties:
Operate all equipment, stock ingredients from delivery area storage, work area, walk-in cooler, prepare product, receive and process telephone orders, take inventory and complete associated paperwork, clean equipment and facility approximately daily. Orientation and training provided on the job.
Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions. Ability to communicate verbally with customers and co-workers to process orders both over the phone and in person.
Essential Functions & SkillsPerform basic arithmetic accurately and quickly (may use calculator). Make correct monetary change. Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders. Motor coordination between eye and hand/fingers for rapid and accurate precise movements. Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
Work ConditionsExposure to varying and sometimes adverse weather conditions when removing trash and performing other outside tasks. In-store temperatures range from 36°F in cooler to 90°F and above in some work areas. Sudden changes in temperature. Fumes from food odors. Exposure to commercial dust. Cramped quarters, hot surfaces/tools from oven up to 500°F or higher. Sharp edges and moving mechanical parts.
SensingTalking and hearing on telephone. Near and mid-range vision for most in-store tasks. Depth perception. Ability to differentiate between hot and cold surfaces.
TemperamentsThe ability to direct activities, perform repetitive tasks, work alone and with others, work under stress, meet strict quality control standards, deal with people, analyze and compile data, make judgments and decisions.
Physical Demands- Standing:
Most tasks performed from a standing position. Walking surfaces include ceramic tile or linoleum. Height of work surfaces 36–48". - Walking:
Generally short distances and short durations. - Sitting:
Paperwork normally completed at a desk or table. - Lifting:
Bulk product deliveries unloaded with hand truck. Cases of ingredients and supplies weighing up to 60 pounds. Stacked up to 72". - Carrying:
Large cans (≈3 lb 7 oz) carried from workstation to storage shelves. Pizza sauce (~30 lb) carried from storage to front. Trays of pizza dough carried three at a time (~12 lb per tray). - Pushing:
Trays moved in dollies (24–30 in stack) needing ~7.5 lb to push. - Climbing:
Infrequently navigate stairs or ladder for sign changes, maintenance. - Stooping/Bending:
Forward bending at waist at pizza assembly station (~30–45 sec repeated continuously). - Crouching/Squatting:
Occasionally to stock shelves and clean low areas. - Reaching:
Continuously up, down, forward. Reach above 72" to operate oven controls, change prices, lift and lower objects. - Hand tasks:
Use of hands continuous. Frequent forearm and wrist use for shaping pizza dough, manipulating peel, cutting, and box assembly.
May utilize pencil/pens, computers, telephones, calculators, TDD equipment, pizza cutter, and pizza peel.
Delivery ResponsibilitiesDeliver product by car to door of customer. Deliver flyers and door hangers or any marketing materials.
Requirements- Valid Driver License with safe driving record meeting company standards.
- Access to an insured vehicle used for delivery.
- Navigational skills to read a map and locate addresses within designated delivery area.
- Ability to navigate adverse terrain including multi-story buildings, private homes, and other delivery sites while carrying product.
- CARRYING:
Carry pizzas, sides, beverages during walking and climbing duties. - DRIVING:
Deliver company products within a designated delivery area; may make several deliveries per shift. - WALKING:
Travel between store, delivery vehicle, and customer's location. - CLIMBING:
Navigate five or more flights of stairs during delivery. - WORK CONDITIONS:
Exposure to varying and sometimes adverse weather when delivering. - SENSING:
Far vision and night vision for driving.
