Varsity Assistant Football Coach

Park High School is seeking a dynamic, highly qualified candidate to serve as Varsity Assistant Football Coach. Candidates are desired to have successful high school and/or collegiate level head coaching experience, and related successful experiences in educational leadership. Candidates should be experienced in building a comprehensive program, developing staff, and managing diverse program-wide elements in accordance with the Park High School Activities Dept.

• Proven experience in teaching and modeling character and responsible behavior.
• Positive, high energy, and committed.
• Partners well with parents, staff, community leaders, etc.
• View success not just as winning; but as helping team members to reach goals.
• Orientation toward continuous improvement and transformational coaching, including a transformational coaching purpose statement

A valid Minnesota coaching certificate (or alternative qualifications) is preferred for assistant coaches and REQUIRED for head coaches.

Reports To:

Head Varsity Football coach and Park High School Athletics/Activities Director, who provides overall job objectives and observes performance in conjunction with the High School Principal.

Job Goals:
To instruct student-athletes in the fundamental skills, strategy and physical training necessary for them to realize individual and team success. Concurrently, student-athletes shall receive instruction that will lead to the formulation of moral values, pride in accomplishment, acceptable social behavior, self-discipline and confidence. Coach shall demonstrate substantial knowledge of the technical aspects of the sport as well as successfully establish positive relationships with all stakeholders.
