East Ridge High School – Head Competitive Cheer Coach. Assignment Dates:
May 1 – February 20, 2027. Compensation:
Contract is based on Teacher's Contract Schedule C - 27 base points or $3,915 base contract rate.
East Ridge High School is seeking a dynamic, highly qualified candidate to serve as Head Comp Cheer Coach. Candidates should have successful high school and/or collegiate level head coaching experience, and related successful experiences in educational leadership. Experience in building a comprehensive program, developing staff, and managing diverse program-wide elements in accordance with the East Ridge mission and vision is desirable.
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills, and the commitment to develop and maintain positive relationships between the Raptors Cheer program and the local community are required. A valid Minnesota coaching certificate (or alternative qualifications) is required.
East Ridge High School Athletics/Activities Director, who provides overall job objectives and observes performance in conjunction with the High School Principal.
Job GoalsTo instruct student-athletes in the fundamental skills, strategy and physical training necessary for them to realize individual and team success. Concurrently, student-athletes shall receive instruction that leads to the formulation of moral values, pride in accomplishment, acceptable social behavior, self-discipline and confidence. Coach shall demonstrate substantial knowledge of the technical aspects of the sport and successfully establish positive relationships with all stakeholders.
