Position PurposeThe Analyst plays a pivotal role in bridging the gap between business needs and data‑driven solutions. The analyst collaborates closely with product owners, data engineers, and stakeholders to define and refine product requirements, leveraging data insights to inform strategic decisions. Responsibilities include analyzing user behavior, market trends, and product performance metrics to guide feature development, optimize the user experience, and drive business growth.
The analyst serves as a subject matter expert, ensuring data quality and governance, translating complex datasets into actionable insights, and supporting the creation of self‑service analytics platforms. Strong communication and strategic thinking are essential so the analyst can present findings clearly and influence cross‑functional teams.
Technical Skills and Expertise- Data Analysis & Visualization:
Skilled in tools such as Excel, Tableau, Power BI, etc. - Business Intelligence Tools:
Experience with BI platforms and reporting tools to create dashboards and monitor KPIs. - Process Modeling & Workflow Analysis:
Familiar with Visio or Lucidchart to map and optimize business processes. - Software Testing Principles:
Understanding manual and automated testing, test cases, and QA processes. - Agile Methodologies:
Comfortable working in Agile environments using JIRA for backlog and sprint management. - Requirements & Documentation:
Skilled in gathering, analyzing, and documenting business and technical requirements. - Data Governance & Quality Assurance:
Ensures data integrity and consistency across systems and reports. - Programming Basics:
Exposure to scripting languages such as SQL for data manipulation and automation. - Stakeholder Communication:
Ability to translate technical findings into business language and influence decision‑making.
- Independently elicit requirements and analysis for the creation of enterprise data assets.
- Create reports and contribute to various data governance and management initiatives.
- Research and analyze data to drive business decisions.
- Partner with Data Engineers, Stakeholders, and Product Owner to understand requirements and business processes.
- Support the development and maintenance of enterprise data sets, reporting systems, and/or reporting tools to provide business value.
- Support ad hoc research and analysis activities.
- Present and communicate insights from research and analysis to business users and managers.
- Contribute to the Data Catalog and Analytics Community of Practice.
- Present and explain complex analytics concepts and methodologies to non‑technical business partners.
The role relies on experience to plan and accomplish goals and may provide work direction to associate analysts or cross‑functional support team members.
Minimum Qualification, Skill and/or Competency Requirements- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (Computer Science, MIS, or a related field) or equivalent relevant work experience.
- Intermediate SQL knowledge, intermediate ELT knowledge, and basic data modeling skills.
- Minimum of five years of IT experience and three years working with data for analytical purposes.
- Strong conceptual and communication skills in translating business needs into technical solutions.
- Experience in measurement and analysis, quantitative business problem solving, and operational and business analytics delivery.
- Intermediate level project management and Agile skills.
