Job DescriptionCottage Grove High School is seeking an Advanced Math Teacher for the school year who excels at building meaningful relationships and creating engaging lessons that inspire students to appreciate math and develop their skills and knowledge. This permanent position is a vital part of an energetic math department and a school staff dedicated to partnering with parents and the community to help students discover their future paths.
Cottage Grove High School serves 600 students in grades 9-12 and strives to provide a welcoming and positive experience for all. The school prides itself on offering a wide variety of courses, opportunities, and experiences that challenge and prepare students for tomorrow. CGHS aims to be a local leader in CTE, technology, and instruction.
Qualifications- Valid Oregon teaching certificate with an advanced math endorsement (or the ability to obtain one)
- Experience teaching math at the secondary level
- Demonstrated ability to plan and implement instruction around district curriculum guides
- Effective and consistent classroom management
- Strong communication skills with students, teachers, parents, and administrators
- Ability to contribute meaningfully to professional learning communities
- Experience and certification with College Now or other college credit‑earning opportunities for students
- ESOL endorsements preferred
- Evidence of multicultural experience and cultural competency
- Bilingual proficiency and/or multicultural experience strongly preferred
- Willingness to coach and/or advise sports, clubs, or activities

Salary will be determined by the experience and degree level in accordance with the licensed salary schedule.
Salary: $48,698.60 to $98,982.30 per year
