Sr. Application Engineer
Our client, a leading financial services organization, is seeking a Sr. Application Engineer to join their team. As a Sr. Application Engineer, you will be part of the Business Technology Solutions department supporting the Information Technology team. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive mindset.
What's the Job?
- Design, configure, and manage core banking, digital banking, and related applications to ensure optimal performance and security.
- Collaborate with business units to analyze, develop, and implement system enhancements that improve user experience and operational efficiency.
- Lead the deployment, upgrade, and integration of new software applications within established timelines and compliance standards.
- Mentor junior and mid-level team members, sharing best practices and troubleshooting techniques to foster team growth.
- Research emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence and industry trends, to continuously improve processes and member services.
What's Needed?
- High School diploma or GED; a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
- Five or more years of professional experience in application engineering, development, or a similar role.
- Proficiency with enterprise applications, database systems, API integration, and vendor management.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and understanding of the system development lifecycle and Dev Ops practices.
- Experience working within agile methodologies and familiarity with scripting, security, automation, and data analysis tools.
