Maintenance Technician – Mechatronics & Robotics (Wisconsin)
This role focuses on maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing automated material handling and pneumatic systems within a clean, highly automated distribution facility. You will install, maintain, and repair automated packaging and distribution equipment while supporting the Operations Maintenance team. In addition to hands-on technical work, you will mentor junior technicians, helping them develop their skills and grow into more advanced maintenance roles.
Responsibilities- Install, maintain, and repair automated packaging and distribution equipment and related material handling systems.
- Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues on material handling equipment, including belts, motors, photo-eyes, relays, and related components.
- Diagnose and repair pneumatic systems used throughout the building.
- Perform electrical troubleshooting and installation on equipment and conveyor systems.
- Install conveyor lines and ensure proper mechanical and electrical operation.
- Repair fork trucks and other material handling vehicles as needed.
- Support the stand-up and commissioning of a new distribution center, working alongside subcontractors and other trades.
- Collaborate with the Operations Maintenance team to ensure high equipment reliability and minimal downtime.
- Mentor junior technicians, providing guidance, training, and support to help them advance their technical skills.
- Follow safety procedures and use appropriate personal protective equipment while working in an automated facility.
- At least 2 years of industrial maintenance experience within automation and robotics environments.
- Hands-on experience as a maintenance technician in automated facilities.
- Strong troubleshooting skills for electrical and mechanical systems.
- Experience working with automation and robotics equipment.
- Ability to install, maintain, and repair material handling equipment, including belts, motors, photo-eyes, and relays.
- Proficiency in electrical troubleshooting and installation on industrial equipment.
- Knowledge of pneumatic systems and their repair and maintenance.
- Ability to install conveyor lines and ensure proper mechanical alignment and operation.
- Experience repairing fork trucks and similar material handling vehicles.
- Capability to work with robots and automated machinery in a distribution or industrial setting.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience supporting the setup or stand-up of new distribution centers or industrial facilities.
- Comfort working with subcontractors and multiple levels of a distribution center during installation and ramp-up.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with repair practices in industrial environments.
- Ability to mentor and train junior technicians, sharing best practices and technical knowledge.
- Effective communication skills for coordinating with operations, contractors, and maintenance team members.
- Commitment to following safety protocols and using required personal protective equipment.

This position operates in a clean, automated distribution facility that is currently being built and brought online. You will work Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with overtime available after the shift and on Saturdays as needed to support installation and maintenance activities.
