Travel Pharmacist – Swing Shift (7 ON / 7 OFF)
Pay: $67.05/hour (Travelers only – local candidates not accepted)
Contract: 13 weeks
Shift: 1:00 PM – 11:30 PM | 7 ON / 7 OFF
Ogden Regional Medical Center is seeking an experienced Travel Pharmacist for a swing-shift assignment. This is a great opportunity to work in a fast-paced acute care environment with a highly supportive and tenured pharmacy team.
Position OverviewThe Pharmacist will provide safe, accurate medication services while supporting nurses and physicians across multiple departments including ICU, NICU, OR, three EDs, behavioral health, inpatient rehab, and Level II trauma. During portions of the shift, the Pharmacist will work independently alongside a pharmacy technician.
Schedule- 7 days on / 7 days off
- Swing shift: 13:00–23:30
- Pharmacy operates 24/7
- Approximately 5.5 hours per shift working independently with technician support
- Verify and dispense medications accurately and safely
- Supervise pharmacy technician workflow
- Provide clinical consult services (warfarin, vancomycin, TPN, insulin)
- Support nursing and physician teams with medication needs
- Monitor and manage interventions using Vigi Lanz
- Ensure compliance with hospital pharmacy policies
- Participate in medication safety and workflow management
- Hospital pharmacy experience required
- Comfortable supervising technicians
- Experience with:
- BD Pyxis
- CIISafe
- Vigi Lanz
- Ability to work independently during swing hours
- Meditech
- Dose Edge
- RXMS
- BD Pyxis
- Vigi Lanz
- BLS/ALS preferred (not required)
- Business casual or hospital-provided scrubs
- Strong, collaborative pharmacy team (average tenure ~7 years)
- Wide variety of clinical exposure
- Dynamic and engaging hospital environment
