Our Dispatchers, who must hold a current FAA Certificate, will plan for the safe and efficient operation of each Breeze Airways flight. The Dispatch Supervisor is responsible for supervising and leading a team of flight dispatchers, assigning duties, and managing work schedules to maintain optimal staffing levels. They oversee the planning and execution of flight schedules, ensuring compliance with regulations, weather conditions, and company policies.
This includes calculating aircraft performance data, fuel requirements, and flight routes. They will communicate and coordinate with various departments, including management, flight operations, maintenance, ground operations, and air traffic control, to ensure seamless coordination and communication before and during flights.
- Strategically allocate staff resources across departments to align with flight schedules and meet financial and operational goals.
- Ensure optimal staffing levels for each shift to maintain efficient operations. This may include working a dispatch desk in the event of temporary staffing shortages or during irregular operations at the discretion of management.
- Collaborate with the dispatch department to establish desk assignments and coverage plans for the upcoming day’s operations.
- Ensure adequate coverage during regular and irregular operations, adjusting as needed.
- Set clear performance expectations for coworkers by conducting release audits and fostering consistent delivery of high-quality service and products.
- Provide support and guidance to maintain exceptional performance standards.
- Will be qualified check dispatchers and will perform competency checks in conjunction with the dispatch training team.
- Assist dispatchers during irregular operations by managing flight counts and ensuring adequate coverage, especially on high-flight volume days.
- Actively contribute to maintaining operational continuity during unexpected events.
- Work with dispatch management on projects aligned with company initiatives, such as tabletop exercises, proving runs, and flag operations, contributing to their successful execution.
- Handle ATC calls and monitor Operational Information System (OIS), potentially overseeing FSM access and training for relevant staff.
- Ensure smooth communication with the manager of air traffic management.
- Assisting with the development of flight routing and compliance with the ATS.
- Collaborate with duty managers to proactively identify opportunities for enhancing operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Implement strategies to improve overall performance based on identified opportunities.
- Collect and maintain necessary paperwork as required by regulations and company policies.
- Review safety reports, identify potential areas for improvement, and implement corrective measures as needed.
- Identify high-risk operations or locations and develop strategies to mitigate potential risks.
- Generate detailed reports upon request, providing insights and recommendations for improving operational safety and efficiency.
- Assist in emergency dispatch procedures, including diversions, Medlink coordination, or other unexpected situations, ensuring a swift and effective response.

- High school diploma, equivalent education attainment, or equivalent experience
- FAA Aircraft Dispatcher Certificate
- 1+ as an Aircraft Dispatcher (combination of education and experience will be considered)
- Must be at least twenty-three (23) years of age
- Must have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986
- Must pass a DOT pre-employment drug test
- Must pass a TSA required fingerprint-based criminal history records check and a Breeze background check
- Must be fluent in spoken and written English
