RN - Emergency Department (Experienced RN) – Verde Valley/Sedona Medical Center
Sign on/Relocation opportunities! Registered Nurse in a Level 4 Trauma Center located in Cottonwood/Sedona, Arizona.
Nursing Experience- 1 year in the emergency department (peds and/or adult)

Patient Care
- Assess the needs and conditions of assigned patients by gathering relevant health information.
- Identify outcomes, develop an individualized plan of care, and implement the plan to achieve expected outcomes.
- Assess patient progress toward outcomes and revise diagnoses, outcomes, and plans of care as appropriate.
- Contribute to patient experience by providing safe, high‑quality, patient‑centered care and respecting patient privacy.
- Evaluate patient conditions frequently and adapt the plan of care accordingly.
- Perform aseptic techniques, maintain a sterile field, and uphold infection control principles.
- Maintain infection prevention standards.
- Collaborate with physicians and other health care professionals.
- Assist as necessary with procedures and transportation throughout the hospital per policies and procedures.
Education
- Participate in creating and sustaining a learning environment supported by evidence‑based practice and research.
- Focus on personal development areas and engage in professional/collegial interactions with peers and students.
- Work collaboratively with peers and other health care providers and participate in ongoing in‑service and educational seminars.
- Participate in the mentoring and education of colleagues and students.
Compliance/Safety
- Adhere to regulatory and organizational standards affecting patient care and safety, as well as all hospital and departmental policies and procedures.
- Stay current and comply with state and federal regulations and company policies affecting the area of responsibility.
- Ensure all certifications and/or licenses are up‑to‑date and valid prior to expiration dates.
- Complete all company mandatory modules and required job‑specific training within the specified timeframe.
- Maintain timely and accurate documentation of assessments, interventions, EMR entries, and patient responses.
- Report any safety‑related incident in a timely fashion and attend all safety‑related training programs. Monitor the work environment for safety issues and ensure others also work safely.
Education
- Associate’s degree or diploma in nursing (BSN preferred).
- Associate degree nurses must graduate from a BSN program within 6 years of hire to obtain an RN position.
Certification & Licensure
- Active, unrestricted Arizona RN license or valid participating compact license – Required.
- BLS – Required.
- ACLS – Required.
- PALS or ENPC – Required within 90 days of hire.
- NIHSS – Required within 30 days of hire.
- ATCN or TNCC – Required within 18 months of hire.
- NRP – Preferred.
- STABLE – Preferred.
Additional Experience
- Familiar with electronic medical record system.
- Basic computer software programs (Windows).
