The Controller is responsible for managing the accounting functions of the organization.
SCHEDULE AND PAYThis is a full-time (40 hour) position.
A typical shift would be Monday-Friday, 8:00AM- 5:00 PM
Annual range is $105,000- $115,000. Pay offer is based on education, and experience.
DUTIES- Responsible for managing General Accounting, workflow and daily accounting process.
- Assists with general ledger accounting system maintenance and reconciliation of accounts.
- Completes assigned month end close entries and supports the CFO in completing financial statements.
- Utilizes understanding of the General Ledger and financial impact of cost reporting results and applies them to all aspects of the financial accounting the Health Center.
- Assists with grant tracking review and analysis for allowable cost and financial compliance.
- Responsible for assistance with financial and accounting reporting.
- Responsible for timely filing of annual Medicare and Medicaid cost reports.
- Coordinates and provides outsource CPA firm with information required
- Completes and reviews quarterly wrap reports.
- Maintains related wrap tracking reports and calculates wrap accruals.
- Responsible for the monthly analysis of the Accounts Receivable aging and calculation of the Allowance for Bad Debt.
- Monitors and completes monthly entries for the 340B Pharmacy drug program.
- Assists with preparation of annual tax report, IRS Form 990.
- Together with the CFO, completes financial UDS reporting.
- Assists with preparation of the HRSA 330 grant and other grant budgets.
- Assists with A133 audit and provides schedules for areas of responsibility.
- Assists with preparation of reports as required by all payer source and the Bureau of Primary Health Care.
- Responsible for EPIC financial reports
- Responsible for creating and maintaining a reporting archive where all Finance Staff have the ability to run reports in order to complete monthly accounting.
- Possess the ability to use advanced functions in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Proficient in electronic and accounting systems
- Possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Financial Management
