• KCI is looking for a Construction Inspector 2 in the Charlotte, Statesville, Mooresville or Shelby areas to work independently on less complex construction activities and assist experienced inspectors on complex construction assignments on active roadway and bridge projects.
• Perform field construction inspection and documentation services on various commercial, municipal, institutional, and heavy highway and bridge projects.
• Document construction progress, inspection, and testing results through detailed, timely reports.
• Record and report daily forms per project requirements and maintain necessary records, measure field quantities, conduct field tests and other tests as needed.
• Submit accurate timesheets, mileage, and expense reports on time each week.
• Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, staff, and supervisors.
• Resolve problems at the lowest level and ensure job site safety daily.
• Adhere to OSHA safety standards and corporate policies, and ensure compliance with all applicable industry standards and client requirements.

• 0‑2 years of experience.
• High school/GED.
• Ability to understand construction plans, specifications, and procedures.
• Basic math skills, including geometry and trigonometry.
• Fluent reading, writing, and communication skills.
• Team‑working ability and capability to complete daily reports by hand and on computer.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to pass and maintain required certifications.
• Pre‑employment drug screening is a condition of employment. Background and motor‑vehicle checks may be required.
