Pottawattamie County is seeking a Telecommunicator I in Council Bluffs to serve as the first point of contact between the public and responders. This transitional role prepares you to advance to Telecommunicator II (dispatcher) with proven performance.
You will receive emergency and non-emergency calls via phone, text, video, or data feeds, provide critical instructions, and use GIS and mapping tools to coordinate responses while maintaining calm under pressure.
