The Iowa substitute teacher license is available in new formats. Candidates with an associate or bachelor’s degree in any field may consider the substitute license. Sign language skills and/or experience working with the deaf are strongly preferred. This role is primarily scheduled on Fridays and Sundays and may involve driving minivans and chaperoning students to and from school. Driver requirements include obtaining a chauffeur’s driver’s license and passing a DOT physical.

Works one‑on‑one with multi‑disabled students during academic time. Sign language experience is preferred.

Responsible for all aspects of students’ care and well‑being during non‑school hours. Evening shifts on weekdays and daytime and evening shifts on weekends. Sign language skills are strongly preferred.
