Automotive Lab Assistant

The automotive lab assistant assists automotive faculty in coordinating day-to-day classroom labs and to ensure safety.

Job duties include:

• Assisting automotive faculty in coordinating day-to-day classroom labs and to ensure safety.
• Preparing and maintaining lab equipment and tools for student use, ensuring everything is in proper working order and adheres to safety standards.
• Organizing and assisting in the inventory of supplies.
• Supporting instructors during lab sessions by demonstrating techniques, helping students operate equipment, and providing guidance on safe practices.
• Monitoring lab activities to ensure students adhere to safety procedures, properly use personal protective equipment (PPE).

Qualifications include:

• Automotive experience.
• Ability to pass a background check, have valid U.S Driver's license and good driving record.

Physical demands include:

• Frequently sitting for extended periods of time and using hands to operate computer keyboard, telephone and basic office equipment.
• Regularly required to talk and hear.
• Ability to lift up to 30lbs.
• Ability to drive company owned or personal vehicle.

Cognitive requirements include:

• Reading, Writing, Calculating.
• Social Interaction Skills.
• Reasoning/Analysis.
• Works with Minimal Supervision.
