Registered Behavior Technician
Rue Elementary School
186 Days/Year
7.5 Hours/Day
8:00 a.m.

- 4:00 p.m. (includes a 30 minute unpaid lunch break)

Assists and supports teachers and Board Certified Behavior Analyst through the implementation of IEP supports, services and treatment plans for students with significant disabilities and challenging behaviors.

  Registered Behavior Technician Certificate
• Required:
  
  You must have one of the following:
  • Completion of two years of study at an institution of higher education; or
  • Possess an associates degree, or
  • Complete a para educator certificate course, or
  • Complete and pass the National Career Readiness Certificate (NCRC) exam.
• Preferred:
  Experience working with young people in an educational setting.

• Reports to work as scheduled on a regular and reliable basis.
• Carries out treatment plans designed by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) or similar practitioner.
• Assists with communication, social and daily living skills at the direction of BCBA and/or teachers.
• Assists with individual and group instructional reinforcement, supporting students at BCBA and teachers' direction, as needed.
• Provides direct intervention services to students in cooperation with teachers, physicians, and parents.
• Participates in and provides input to the individual education team for the students.
• Keeps records of student behavior progress and programs implemented to achieve desired behaviors.
• Assists in data collection and progress monitoring.
