Design Engineer

PALFINGER is searching for a Design Engineer. This position is located in Council Bluffs, IA. This position reports to the Product Line R&D Manager. • Design and develop cable hoist mechanical components and assemblies.
• Create and modify 2D drawings and 3D CAD models using Creo/Autocad.
• Prepare detailed engineering drawings, BOMs, and basic technical documentation.
• Perform basic engineering calculations and support analysis (stress, tolerance).
• Support prototyping, testing, and validation activities.

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 0-5 years industry experience as a Mechanical Engineer.
• Strong fundamentals in mechanics, materials, and manufacturing processes.
• Working knowledge of CAD software (Creo Parametric is preferred).
• Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time.

• Salary Range $65,000 - $80,000
• 401(k) with Company match.
