Work Model:
- On-Site
- Program, troubleshoot, and maintain PLC-controlled manufacturing equipment, primarily using Rockwell platforms
- Write PLC code from scratch and modify existing programs to improve performance and reliability
- Diagnose and resolve electrical, controls, and mechanical issues directly on the plant floor
- Support equipment installation, commissioning, upgrades, and controls modernization efforts
- Perform electrical work from low voltage through 480V, three-phase systems
- Provide remote troubleshooting support to other facilities, often via phone or virtual connection
- Collaborate with mechanical engineers, maintenance teams, and project managers on active projects
- Create, update, and maintain electrical schematics, I/O lists, and controls documentation
- Participate in equipment testing, factory acceptance tests (FAT), and startup activities
- Interface with IT to ensure manufacturing equipment integrates with corporate systems and networks
- Communicate technical information clearly to engineers and technicians, and translate issues for non-technical or executive audiences
- Travel to multiple facilities to support troubleshooting, installations, and large-scale projects
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on uptime, safety, and productivity
- Engineering degree, automation certification, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Five or more years of automation or controls experience in manufacturing environments
- Strong PLC programming and troubleshooting experience with Allen Bradley & Rockwell software
- Proven ability to logically diagnose complex equipment and process issues
- Solid mechanical aptitude with willingness to work hands-on in plants
- Experience working with machine controls, industrial networks, and electrical schematics
- Ability to work independently across multiple sites and shifting priorities
- Willingness to travel regularly and support urgent project and operational needs
