HGM Associates is seeking a CADD Designer to join our civil team in Council Bluffs, Iowa, supporting municipal infrastructure and civil engineering projects through high-quality drafting, design, and plan production.

This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented CADD professional who wants to grow technical drafting and design skills in a collaborative, flexible, and low-bureaucracy environment. The ideal candidate brings strong interpersonal and communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a project team.

In this position, you will support civil engineering project teams by preparing accurate drawings, plan sets, documentation, and quantity calculations while helping ensure deliverables meet HGM and client CADD standards.

• Perform design and drafting tasks for municipal infrastructure projects
• Develop high-quality plan set deliverables for civil engineering projects
• Execute checklist items independently and ensure design-related forms, reports, and project documentation are complete
• Develop and review calculations of construction quantities
• Demonstrate commitment to compliance with project CADD standards
• Support project teams through accurate drafting, plan preparation, and design documentation

• Municipal infrastructure and public works projects
• City, county, utility, and Department of Transportation projects

• High school diploma
• Coursework in drafting technology and at least 1 year of relevant drafting experience, or specialized CAD certification, diploma, or associate degree
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
• Communicate effectively and work both independently and in a collaborative team environment

• 1+ years of experience working in the engineering industry on city, county, utility, or DOT projects
• Civil 3D experience
• Micro Station experience
