Adjunct Continuing Education Instructor- Funeral Director

Description This position is responsible for developing and delivering high-quality Continuing Education courses that meets state licensure requirements and professional standards for funeral directors. Providing current, relevant content that supports professional growth, ethical practice and compliance within the funeral service profession.

Essential Functions:

• Develop and deliver continuing education courses for licensed funeral directors in accordance with state regulatory requirements
• Ensure course content is current, evidence-based, and aligned with applicable funeral service laws
• Prepare instructional materials and presentations
• Foster a professional, respectful and inclusive learning environment
• Demonstrates IWCC’s core mission, vision and values
• Other duties as assigned

• Active Funeral Director License in good standing
• Minium of 3-5 years of professional experience in funeral service
• Demonstrated knowledge of current funeral service laws, regulations, and ethical standards
• Strong oral and written communication skills and ability to articulate in both small and large group settings
• Ability to teach adult learners in person
• Ability to pass a background check with valid driver's license

• The employee frequently is required to sit for extended periods of time and use hands to operate computer keyboard, telephone and basic office equipment
