Scope Of Position

2nd shift hours: 3:00 pm – 11:30 pm.

The HR Generalist is responsible for applying business knowledge and human‑resources expertise. They will provide a wide range of HR support and advice to all employees within the assigned facility. The successful candidate will play a key role in the organization’s success by offering guidance on employee relations, performance management, terminations and HR best practices while fostering a positive relationship between personnel and senior management.

Responsibilities
  • Implement and administer employee policies
  • Perform regular internal audits to ensure compliance with all corporate HR practices
  • Provide high‑quality advice and service to supervisors and leads on daily employee relations and performance management issues
  • Support the HR department in implementing retention programs to improve the employee experience
  • Identify ways to improve HR policies and procedures
  • Train and support other HR team members in the facility
  • Support recruitment efforts as needed
  • Act as backup for the HR manager
Skills And Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or a related discipline; experience will be considered in lieu of a degree
  • 3+ years’ experience in HR
  • Patience and a high level of empathy
  • Strong knowledge of hiring processes, including AAP and ATS usage
  • Understanding of HR best practices and current regulations
  • Sound judgment and problem‑solving skills
  • Customer‑focused attitude with high professionalism and discretion
  • Proficiency with the MS Office suite
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to manage priorities and dynamic deadlines
  • Flexible and positive in a fast‑paced business environment
  • Efficient time management and communication
  • Interpersonal and team skills for working with employees at all levels within the company
Physical Demands
  • Frequently required to sit; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision and ability to adjust focus
Work Environment
  • Plant environment
  • Travel up to 10% within continental North America
