Scope Of Position2nd shift hours: 3:00 pm – 11:30 pm.
The HR Generalist is responsible for applying business knowledge and human‑resources expertise. They will provide a wide range of HR support and advice to all employees within the assigned facility. The successful candidate will play a key role in the organization’s success by offering guidance on employee relations, performance management, terminations and HR best practices while fostering a positive relationship between personnel and senior management.
Responsibilities- Implement and administer employee policies
- Perform regular internal audits to ensure compliance with all corporate HR practices
- Provide high‑quality advice and service to supervisors and leads on daily employee relations and performance management issues
- Support the HR department in implementing retention programs to improve the employee experience
- Identify ways to improve HR policies and procedures
- Train and support other HR team members in the facility
- Support recruitment efforts as needed
- Act as backup for the HR manager
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or a related discipline; experience will be considered in lieu of a degree
- 3+ years’ experience in HR
- Patience and a high level of empathy
- Strong knowledge of hiring processes, including AAP and ATS usage
- Understanding of HR best practices and current regulations
- Sound judgment and problem‑solving skills
- Customer‑focused attitude with high professionalism and discretion
- Proficiency with the MS Office suite
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to manage priorities and dynamic deadlines
- Flexible and positive in a fast‑paced business environment
- Efficient time management and communication
- Interpersonal and team skills for working with employees at all levels within the company
- Frequently required to sit; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision and ability to adjust focus
- Plant environment
- Travel up to 10% within continental North America
