Technical Support Engineer - RECLAIM Program Technician

Akkodis is seeking a Technical Support Engineer - RECLAIM Program Technician for a Contract with a client in Council Bluffs, IA. The ideal candidate is responsible for inspecting, testing, and repairing data center hardware to ensure quality standards and minimize damage across operations.

Rate Range: $45/hour to $50/hour;
The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Technical Support Engineer - RECLAIM Program Technician Job Responsibilities include:

• Perform inspection, testing, and repair of data center hardware components to ensure quality and reliability.
• Conduct damage verification and failure analysis on electronic parts to identify defects and prevent faulty re-inventory.
• Execute repair activities such as cleaning, part replacement, and connector corrections for damaged components.
• Monitor handling, packaging, and storage processes through audits to reduce hardware damage.
• Track, document, and report inspection results while escalating issues impacting product quality.
• Support damage reduction initiatives, field investigations, and continuous improvement efforts across data center operations.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience).
• 3+ years of experience in a technical or quality assurance role within electronics or hardware environments.
• Strong knowledge of electronic components (PCBs, DIMMs, CPUs, network cards) with hands-on experience in inspection, repair, and basic failure analysis.
• Proven ability to perform detailed inspections, follow SOPs, handle data reporting, and ensure quality compliance in data center or hardware operations.

Pay Details: $45.00 to $50.00 per hour
