Technical Support Engineer - RECLAIM Program Technician

Akkodis is seeking a Technical Support Engineer - RECLAIM Program Technician for a Contract with a client in Council Bluffs, IA. The ideal candidate is responsible for inspecting, testing, and repairing data center hardware to ensure reliability and minimize damage across operations.

Rate Range: $45hour to $50/hour;
The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Technical Support Engineer - RECLAIM Program Technician Job Responsibilities include:

• Perform detailed inspection, testing, and repair of data center hardware components to ensure quality and reliability.
• Conduct damage verification and first-level failure analysis to identify defective parts and prevent reintroduction into inventory.
• Execute repair tasks including cleaning, part replacement, and connector adjustments for damaged components.
• Monitor and audit handling, packaging, and ESD processes to minimize hardware damage across operations.
• Document inspection results, track issues, and escalate risks impacting product quality and performance.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and assist in field investigations to reduce damage and enhance operational efficiency.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience).
• 3+ years of experience in hardware quality, electronics repair, or a technical support environment.
• Strong knowledge of electronic components (PCBs, CPUs, DIMMs, network hardware) with hands-on experience in inspection, repair, and basic failure analysis.
• Proven ability to perform detailed inspections, follow SOPs, manage data reporting, and ensure quality compliance in a data center or hardware-focused environment.

Pay Details: $45.00 to $50.00 per hour
