Senior Technology Manager Onsite Council Bluffs Salary Target: $125,000, DOE
Position Summary:
The Senior Technology Manager provides advanced leadership, direction, and comprehensive oversight of all organizational technology systems and services. This role is accountable for establishing strategy, designating responsibilities, and ensuring effective execution across all IT functions. Acting as the highest-level authority for day-to-day technology operations, the Senior Technology Manager ensures systems are secure, scalable, and aligned with organizational priorities. This role will have responsibility for all IT related desktop applications, systems, infrastructure and devices for office staff and plant staff (operational technology).
The role will also support business applications as defined by business owners. The ideal candidate is highly motivated - edge of your seat personality and has 10+ years of current experience with:
- Hands-on delivery and support of technology
- Leading the future direction of IT, replacing legacy technology with more efficient solutions
- Performance management of others
- Working with a 3rd party MSP
- Being the point of escalation, during and after hours
- Mentoring others
- Learning and possesses strong technical aptitude to expand abilities across the environment including plant technology operations
Salary $125,000 with target annual bonus incentive of 15%, depending on individual and company performance. Employer paid health insurance premium for employee and legal dependents.
Key Responsibilities- Provide strategic direction and operational oversight for all organizational technology systems and services.
- Designate, prioritize, and delegate responsibilities across all IT personnel, ensuring clear ownership, accountability, and performance expectations.
- Provide direct oversight of the IT Manager role, ensuring effective execution of IT operations, infrastructure management, and alignment with organizational strategy.
- Direct and oversee all enterprise technology functions, including:
Security cameras and surveillance systems Access control and visitor management/sign-in systems Site-wide security technology infrastructure End-user computing, hardware, and support services Enterprise applications, systems, and software programs Network infrastructure, connectivity, and firewall management - Establish governance, standards, and controls to ensure consistency, security, and efficiency across all IT operations.
- Review, approve, and enforce all IT-related policies, procedures, and standards.
- Maintain ultimate accountability for system integrity, uptime, cybersecurity posture, and risk mitigation.
- Oversee and guide IT strategy, roadmap development, and execution to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
- Oversee vendor selection, contract management, and performance of third-party service providers.
- Direct procurement strategy, including approval and oversight of all technology purchasing, inventory, and lifecycle management.
- Lead planning and execution of complex IT initiatives, system implementations, and infrastructure upgrades.
- Evaluate organizational technology needs and implement scalable, forward-looking solutions.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and industry best practices.
- Monitor performance metrics and direct corrective actions to address gaps, risks, or inefficiencies.
- Serve as the escalation point for critical technology issues and decision-making.
- Collaborate with executive leadership to align technology direction with organizational goals and operational demands.
- Oversee IT budgeting, forecasting, and cost optimization, including review and approval of departmental resource allocation.
All IT personnel report, either directly or indirectly, to the Senior Technology Manager.
Overall Scope:
This role holds comprehensive authority over all technology functions within the organization, with responsibility to designate, direct, and oversee all IT activities, including final approval of all IT policies. The Senior Technology Manager ensures that all systems, resources, and personnel operate in alignment with organizational standards, security requirements, and business objectives.
