Business And Community Data Analyst
The Business and Community Data Analyst oversees the management, integrity, and optimization of data systems for Iowa Western Business and Community Education division. This position task includes data management, reporting, supports strategic decision-making, and leverages technology to improve business processes and operational efficiency using data. The role requires collaboration across departments and a comprehensive understanding of Business and Community Education (BCE) operations, including programming, workforce training, business development, and financial operations.
Job DutiesDemonstrates IWCC's core mission, vision and values
Monthly, quarterly and yearly data reports on financials, programs, headcount, and contact hours.
Create reports for administrative analysis
Create multi-year reporting for comparison and evaluation
Create and Maintain reports out of IW's registration system (currently Elevate)
Report and collect data on external funding sources (grants)
Identify and implement procedures to ensure data accuracy in the BCE division
Assist in WebMIS data management and submission
Create reports utilizing BCE CRM (Salesforce)
Identify, develop and maintain data reporting for Workforce Pell programming
Assist in Workforce Pell programs
Develop data process
Assist with strategic planning and review of operations processes and recommend improvements through the use of technology solutions.
Create and maintain satisfaction surveys from students and companies we serve.
Represent BCE in internal and external committees as requested.
Create additional reports as requested by VP of Business and Community Education.
Coordinates and Institutional Research, IT, and other divisions at the college to ensure accurate data.
Other duties as assigned
QualificationsBachelor's degree preferred with three years of coordination of data and analytical experience preferred.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability
Strong organizational skills including the ability to multi-task, to meet deadlines, to maintain and access paper and electronic files, to produce error-free final products, and to manage time and output
Excellent customer service skills required
Proficient use in computers including Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM experience is preferred
Ability to read, write and speak English fluently
Enthusiastic and dedicated to the challenges of helping other people
Ability to function collaboratively as part of a fast-paced, customer-oriented team
Professional in communications, appearance, relationships, and responsiveness
Positive attitude
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality at all times
Self-starter with the ability to perform with little supervision
Regular, prompt & reliable attendance
Ability to pass a background check, have a valid U.S. driver's license and good driving record
Physical DemandsThe employee frequently is required to sit for extended periods of time and use hands to operate computer keyboard, telephone and basic office equipment
Ability to lift up to 10lbs
