Line Mechanic L2 - 3rd Shift

Shift: 10:00 PM-8:00 AM

Hourly Rate: $26.48 an hour

The Line Mechanic position reports to the Maintenance Team Lead and is responsible for troubleshooting, line repairs, parts replacement, completing work orders, participation in PMs, cleaning and lubricating equipment according to pre-set standards, performing teardowns and set-up of equipment. Observe all safety regulations and ensure GMP and quality standards are met to maintain efficient flow of production. A sound mechanical background is required to understand the theory of operation for all equipment.

Starting pay up to $26.48 per hour plus attendance bonus. You will be onsite at the facility located in Council Bluffs, Iowa.

• Work the assigned schedule and required overtime
• Read, write, communicate, and comprehend written instructions in English
• Use basic hand and power tools
• Understand planned maintenance and maintenance work cycle
• Have skill in pneumatics, hydraulics, pumps, piping, and power transmission; basic knowledge of welding, machining, and electrical
• Complete work/purchase requests
• Move up to 75 lbs.

• Perform teardowns and set‑ups of assigned equipment, including completion of startup checklist
• Perform planned maintenance (PM) on assigned equipment
• Complete assigned corrective/maintenance work orders
• Troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues
• Perform code verifications on individuals and masters
• Complete parts replacement (e.g., motor, gearboxes, hoses, and pins)
• Participate in production line drumbeats
• Make minor line adjustments
• Complete required reports (e.g., PM, Work Orders, Centerline) and parts requisitions

• Train others in best practices
• Knowledge of plant safety, GMPs, and confined spaces
• Knowledge of Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS)
• LOTO/PIT certified

Education:

High school diploma or GED, Technical School

Experience

Required:

Minimum 2 years of maintenance or related experience
