Manufacturing Production, Operations Engineer
Shift: 4:30 PM-2:00 AM
Hourly Rate: $24.11 an hour
- Ability to work the scheduled/assigned times and required overtime for position
- Ability to read, write, communicate, and comprehend written instructions in English
- Excellent communication skills
- Must be well organized and able to prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously
- Ability to work individually as well as with others as a team at all levels
- Intermediate math skills
- Basic knowledge of computers including email
- Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve usage discrepancies
- Ability to move up to 40 lbs
- Complete and return all required documentation (e.g., ingredient log and requisitions, Usage, etc.)
- Ensure correct ingredients are at the production line prior to start-up and throughout day
- Complete HU (handling unit bar code) ingredient and material tracking form
- Conduct all daily required audits (e.g., scale, box count, etc.)
- Complete daily discrepancy reports
- Collect, calculate, enter and monitor daily usage of ingredients
- Conduct, coordinate and lead waste analysis studies for the reduction of material loss
- Facilitate month end closing for production area
- Ensure returns and consumptions in SAP PSA accuracy
- Manage upkeep and 5S standards in area
- Attend daily/weekly R&R meetings as necessary
- May perform other duties as assigned
Skills and Abilities
Required
- PIT Certified
- Knowledge of GMP’s
- Knowledge of inventory computer system
- Knowledge of the 5S concept
- Knowledge of spreadsheets, i.e. usage spreadsheets, target vs. actual spreadsheets
- Knowledge of basic finance
- Understanding of loss
- Ability to work with pork, chicken, beef and shellfish products in addition to many other ingredients and allergens
Education:
High school diploma or GED preferred.
Experience:
Minimum 6 months production or related experience.
