Bunge in Council Bluffs is a soybean crush and refining operation. The Lab Technician will work to ensure that quality specifications are met.
Position Details:This role will work a 12 hour shift, 7-7. This is a rotating schedule & will work day & night shift.
Hourly starting pay: $28.56
What You’ll Be Doing:- Actively participate in our Employee Safety Involvement plan
- Maintain a safe work environment for all employees
- Perform all applicable analytical tests on raw ingredients, in-process, and finished products
- Perform data entry of analysis into various QA databases
- Assist in identifying and managing HOLD products
- Identify quality and procedure deviations; effectively report such deviations and provide accurate information in a timely manner and as needed
- Prepare testing solutions, equipment calibrations, general maintenance and upkeep of laboratory
- Commitment to supply safe food, maintain a food safety culture within the site, continually improve the site's food safety management system; and comply with customer and regulatory requirements.
- High School diploma or GED Required
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in processing or manufacturing environment
- Work experience in a laboratory environment is preferred
- General knowledge of production processes, food lab instrumentation, and laboratory test methods preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Sound decision and teamwork skills are essential.
- Computer skills, including experience with Word and Excel is preferred
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Organizational skills are a must
- Ability to follow written procedures and established test methods
- Must be able to proficiently read and write in English for the purposes of record keeping and safety and quality training processes.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to perform office and data entry work
