Forklift Blast - 2nd Shift

Overview

The Forklift Operator performs setup and line service for production lines safely and promptly. Responsibilities include retrieving ingredients or packaging material during production, transferring finished product to the freezer, receiving inventory, ensuring received inventory is entered into the warehouse management system, and maintaining a clean work area. Reports to the Warehouse Team Leader. On-site at the Council Bluffs location. Base rate: $23.41 per hour, with an attendance incentive of $0.60 per hour.

• Perform required safety check of equipment before use.
• Set up and provide line service for production promptly.
• Set up production staging areas with required ingredients and materials from the daily requisition sheet.
• Retrieve ingredients and packaging material for production throughout the shift.
• Transfer finished product from the line to the freezer.
• Prepare to receive trailers by opening dock doors, setting dock plates, inspecting trailers, and chocking tires.
• Inspect and unload trailers; verify bill of lading.
• Transfer inventory to open warehouse, freezer, or cooler locations.
• Rotate date-sensitive stock according to company policy.
• Maintain a clean work area (remove trash, stack pallets, remove damaged pallets).
• May perform other tasks as assigned.

• Education: High school diploma or GED.
• Experience: Minimum of 6 months forklift experience preferred.
• Skills: Knowledge of forklift safety and troubleshooting; comprehend and understand the effects of product damage; strategic planning; task analysis; team player; knowledge of GMPs.
• Certification: PIT Certified (will become certified).
