Registered Nurse – Operating Room

Council Bluffs, IA

Contract | Days | 4 x 10-hour shifts, 0700–1730 (start time may shift to 0630 based on case needs)

• Circulate in an active 9-suite OR performing 10–30 cases per day across General, GYN, Orthopedic, Urology, ENT, ECTs, pain blocks, and limited Vascular, Neuro, and Head & Neck procedures
• Scrub in to assist during on-call coverage as needed
• Sit with patients in PACU during recovery to provide support when required
• Participate in a call rotation of 6 call days per 4-week schedule period, including weeknight call (1730–0700) and weekend call (0700–0700), with a 30-minute response time requirement
• Adhere to OR attire and dress code policy, including no nail polish for scrubbed personnel, stud earrings only (or covered ears), and no necklaces or jewelry
• Document patient care accurately using Cerner EMR

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Current BLS certification
• Demonstrated OR experience with General, GYN, Orthopedic, Urology, ENT, ECT, and pain block cases
• Ability to scrub in for call coverage
• Willingness to participate in weeknight, weekend, and holiday call rotations as assigned
• Proficiency with or ability to learn Cerner EMR

• Experience with Vascular, Neuro, or Head and Neck surgical cases
• Familiarity with PACU support responsibilities
• Prior experience working in a high-volume, multi-suite OR environment

• Work in a well-supported OR environment with a dedicated charge nurse and manager present on every shift
• Facility-provided scrubs included as part of the position
